Set Up a Team and Share Your Map

Creating and Joining a Team

Before you can share map data, you need to be part of a team. JourneyMap Teams works with Vanilla Teams, so use the standard team commands to organize your group.

Use /team create [teamname] to establish a new team, then invite players with /team join [teamname]. Alternatively, if your server uses a compatible team mod, follow that mod's team creation process—JourneyMap Teams will automatically detect and integrate with it.

Enabling Shared Map Data

Once your team is formed, map sharing activates automatically. All team members' discoveries, waypoints, and explored terrain will synchronize across the shared map view. Check your JourneyMap settings to confirm team mode is enabled—look for options related to team data or shared mapping.

Your personal map will now display information from all active team members. This means caves, structures, and landmarks discovered by teammates appear on your map in real time, eliminating duplicate exploration and helping coordinate group activities like raids or base building.

If you need to disable sharing temporarily, adjust your JourneyMap configuration to switch between personal and team map modes.
