Speed Up Command Typing

JLine's auto-complete feature suggests command names and arguments as you type, reducing errors and saving time.

Activating Auto-Complete

1. Ensure your server is running with the nogui option

2. Begin typing a command in the console (for example, type te)

3. Press Tab to trigger auto-complete

4. JLine will suggest matching commands or complete the word if only one match exists

5. If multiple suggestions appear, press Tab again to cycle through them

6. Press Enter to confirm your selection

Common Auto-Complete Scenarios

Auto-complete works for:

• Command names: Type ban and Tab completes to ban or suggests banlist
• Player names: After a command requiring a player, Tab suggests online player names
• Partial arguments: Helps with common command parameters

This feature is particularly valuable when managing players or executing complex administrative commands, as it reduces typos that could cause commands to fail.
