Troubleshoot Elytra Swapping Not Working

Check Basic Conditions

If the mod isn't swapping your equipment, verify these conditions first:

Are You Airborne?

• You must be falling or flying, not standing on ground
• Simply jumping isn't enough — you need to be in the air for a moment
• Try jumping from a higher surface

Is Your Inventory Valid?

• Confirm the elytra is in your inventory (not equipped, not dropped)
• Confirm you have a chestplate equipped in your armor slot
• Ensure you have at least one free inventory slot
• Check that neither item is locked or in a crafting grid

Is Spacebar the Right Key?

• The mod uses Spacebar by default to trigger the swap
• Verify your controls haven't been remapped in Minecraft settings
• Test spacebar works for normal jumping first

Still Not Working?

• Mod not installed correctly: Reinstall and restart Minecraft
• Conflicting mods: Other mods affecting inventory or flight may interfere
• Damaged elytra: A fully broken elytra may cause issues — try a fresh one
• Game paused: The mod won't work if the game is paused

If problems persist, verify the mod is enabled in your mod list.
