Prepare Your Inventory for Smooth Elytra Flights

Set Up Before Taking Off

To ensure the mod works seamlessly, prepare your inventory correctly.

What You Need

• One elytra — must be loose in your inventory, not equipped
• One chestplate — currently equipped on your character
• At least one free inventory slot — for the chestplate when it's swapped out

Optimal Setup

1. Equip your chestplate before flying (armor slot)

2. Place your elytra anywhere in your main inventory

3. Keep at least one empty slot available

4. Optionally, keep repair materials nearby if your elytra is damaged

Avoid Common Issues

• Full inventory: If all slots are full, the swap will fail. Drop items or use an ender chest beforehand
• No elytra in inventory: The mod can't swap if the elytra isn't accessible
• Elytra already equipped: The mod is designed to equip elytra from inventory, not swap two equipped items

Pro Tip

Consider organizing your hotbar so your elytra is easily visible. This helps you confirm it's in inventory before attempting flight.
