Getting the Totem into Your Hands

The Jesus Totem of Undying functions identically to the vanilla Totem of Undying—it activates automatically when you would take fatal damage, as long as it's in your main hand or offhand slot.

Step 1: Obtain a Totem of Undying through normal survival means (raid farms, loot chests, or creative mode).

Step 2: Once installed, the resource pack automatically replaces the totem's appearance with a Jesus figure. No crafting or conversion needed.

Step 3: Place the totem in your offhand slot (press F by default on Java Edition) or hold it in your main hand.

Activation

When you take damage that would kill you, the totem activates automatically if equipped. You'll receive the standard protection effects: Regeneration, Absorption, and Fire Resistance. The visual appearance changes, but all mechanics remain vanilla.

Tip: Keep the totem in your offhand while exploring dangerous areas like caves, the Nether, or during combat. This leaves your main hand free for tools or weapons while maintaining full protection.
