Stacking Totems for Redundancy

While only one totem activates per fatal damage instance, carrying multiple totems in your inventory provides backup protection for multiple near-death encounters.

Step 1: Collect or obtain multiple Totems of Undying through raid farms, end city loot, or other survival methods.

Step 2: Keep one totem equipped in your offhand slot at all times.

Step 3: Store additional totems in your hotbar or inventory for quick access. After one totem activates, you can immediately equip another from your inventory.

Quick-Swap Strategy

Arrange your hotbar so spare totems are adjacent to your main tools. After a totem activates and you survive, quickly swap to a fresh totem before entering danger again.

Tip: In long expeditions to the Nether or deep caves, carry at least two totems. The resource pack makes it easy to spot them visually in your inventory thanks to the distinctive Jesus figure design.
