Exploring the Village Without Getting Lost
Navigate by Landmarks
The Japanese Style Village is built around several key structures that serve as navigation points. The tall pagoda is visible from most areas and acts as a central reference point. The shrine complexes are typically positioned at cardinal directions from the main settlement, making them useful waypoints.
Create a Safe Route
Start at the village entrance and map out the main pathways between buildings. The dark forest surrounding the village can be disorienting, so stick to cleared areas and note distinctive trees or rock formations. Mark your path with torches or blocks if you're worried about returning to your starting point.
The water areas with small islands provide natural boundaries—use them to orient yourself. If you get turned around in the forest, head toward the sound of water or look for the pagoda silhouette against the sky.
Visit Structures Systematically
Explore one building or shrine at a time rather than wandering randomly. This helps you build a mental map of the layout. The onsen (hot spring) is usually located near water features, so check areas with streams or ponds. Take screenshots of interesting views to help you remember locations for later visits.
