JackFredLib: What It Does and How to Use It
A Library Mod, Not a Content Mod
JackFredLib is a shared code library. It adds no blocks, items, mobs, or world features on its own, so installing it by itself will not change your game in any visible way. Its purpose is to give compatible mods a common foundation so they can run without errors.
What It Provides
- Shared code that
companion mods depend on, such as Lenient Death. - A config
framework that writes settings into clean, well-commented files you can edit by hand. - Color and gradient helper tools used by other mods for their visual elements.
- A glowing outline system that highlights specific entities or dropped items.
How to Use It
Install JackFredLib alongside any mod that lists it as a requirement. If a dependent mod fails to load or throws errors, a missing or mismatched library is a common cause. You do not need to configure JackFredLib directly; its config files appear only when a dependent mod uses them.
