Toggle Zoom On and Off While Playing

Enable Persistent Zoom Mode

For extended building sessions, you may want zoom to stay active continuously rather than holding a key. This is the default toggle behavior.

1. Press Shift + Z (or your custom keybind) to turn zoom on

2. The zoomed preview will now appear whenever you hover over any item

3. Press Shift + Z again to turn zoom off and return to normal view

Customize Your Toggle Key

If Shift + Z doesn't suit you:

1. Open Minecraft's Controls menu

2. Search for "ItemZoom" or "Zoom"

3. Find the toggle keybind and click it

4. Press your preferred key

5. Confirm and close the menu

Tips

Toggle mode is ideal when you're focused on one task—like sorting inventory, enchanting, or comparing multiple blocks in sequence. You can leave zoom on for the entire session and toggle it off only when you need full screen visibility.
