How to Pull Items Out of Shulker Boxes Without Opening Them

What this feature does

ItemSwapper can read the contents of shulker boxes sitting in your inventory and offer those items in the swap interface. That means you can grab a block or tool that is stored inside a shulker box without placing the box down or opening it.

Server requirement

This only works when the mod (or its server-side plugin) is present on the server you are playing on. In singleplayer it works out of the box. On a multiplayer server without the plugin, the swap interface will only see items in your actual inventory, not inside shulker boxes.

How to use it

1. Keep the shulker box anywhere in your inventory — it does not need to be in a specific slot.

2. Hold an item that has a mapping, or an empty hand, and press the hotkey.

3. The interface will list matching items from both your inventory and the shulker boxes.

4. Highlight the item you want and release the hotkey. The item is moved into your main hand.

Tips

• This is ideal for building sessions where you carry several shulker boxes of different palettes.
• If a shulker box item never shows up, check that the server has the plugin enabled and that the box is actually in your inventory, not in a chest nearby.
