How to Place and Use an Item Display

Placing the Display

Craft or obtain an Item Display block, then place it against a wall or on the ground like any other decorative block. Once placed, it sits as a small pedestal-style holder that is ready to receive an item. Right-click the display while holding the item you want to show off, and the item will snap into place on the display. The item is rendered as a floating model above the block, so tools, ingots, food, and other small items all read clearly.

Swapping and Removing Items

To change what is on display, right-click again with a different item in hand. The old item is returned to you and the new one takes its place. If you want to clear the display entirely, right-click it with an empty hand or break the block — the stored item drops so you can pick it back up. This makes Item Displays ideal for shop fronts, trophy rooms, and museum builds where you want to rotate stock or exhibits without rebuilding anything.

Display Tips

• Use Item Displays in a row to create a shelf of collectibles.
• Combine them with lighting so the floating item is easy to see.
• Keep a chest nearby for quick swaps when restocking a shop.
