Make Item Count Numbers Readable on Bright Item Textures

Problem: White Numbers Disappear

When you pick up items with bright textures—like quartz, snow, or certain ores—the white item count number becomes nearly invisible against the light background. This mod solves that by adding a dark background behind the number.

Enable the Background

1. Open your mod configuration menu (usually accessible from the main menu or pause screen, depending on your mod loader)

2. Find Item Count Background Mod in the list

3. Locate the option to enable or activate the background feature

4. Confirm the setting is toggled on

5. The background should now appear behind all item count numbers in your inventory

Verify It's Working

Pick up a stack of a bright-textured item (like white wool or quartz blocks) and check your inventory. You should see the count number now has a dark background behind it, making it clearly readable. If you don't see a background, double-check that the mod is enabled in your configuration and that you're looking at stacks of 2 or more items.
