Use Navigation Markers Effectively in Top-Down View

Understand Marker Components

When you click the ground to move, three visual elements appear: a ring marker showing the exact click location, a direction arrow indicating your movement path, and an optional light beam for vertical reference. Each serves a purpose in confirming your intended movement.

Click Precisely for Accurate Pathing

In top-down perspective, click exactly where you want your character to go. The ring marker will spawn at that spot, confirming the target location before your character moves. This is especially useful in tight spaces or when navigating around obstacles.

Track Multiple Movement Commands

As you continue clicking to move around the world, each new marker spawns at your new target location. The markers fade over time, keeping your view clear while still providing recent movement history.

Combine with Camera Positioning

Adjust your camera angle to get the clearest top-down view possible. The markers work best when you have a direct overhead perspective, making it easier to judge distances and plan your path through dungeons or complex terrain.

Use Markers for Navigation Planning

Before committing to a long journey, click several waypoints to visualize your route. The markers help you spot potential obstacles or inefficient paths before actually moving.
