Organizing Multiplayer Hide and Seek Games
Scout Safe Play Zones
Before starting, walk through the village and identify areas suitable for hiding and seeking. The wooden houses, cliff alcoves, and dense building clusters offer natural hiding spots. Mark dangerous areas—tall cliffs with no railings, deep water, or unstable terrain—so players know to avoid them.
Set Clear Game Boundaries
Establish which parts of the island are in-bounds for your game. The central village and immediate surrounding cliffs work well for smaller groups. For larger games, you can expand to include the docks and mountain areas. Communicate these boundaries to all players before the game starts.
Establish Seeker and Hider Roles
Designate a meeting point where everyone gathers before the game begins—the village center works well. Give hiders a set time to scatter and hide throughout the designated zone. The seeker counts down at the meeting point, then searches.
Add Dragon Rider Themes
Enhance immersion by having hiders "defend" their hiding spots or seekers "patrol" like dragon riders. Create simple rules like "no hiding in water" or "must stay above ground level" to keep games fair and safe.
