Building a Custom Dragon Base on the Island
Choose Your Building Location
Scout the map for flat or semi-flat terrain that isn't already occupied by village structures. The cliffsides offer dramatic building spots, but ensure you have enough space for your base to expand. Look for areas with good views of the water or the central village—these make excellent dragon landing zones.
Design Your Base Layout
Plan your base in three zones: a dragon perch or landing platform (elevated and open), living quarters (protected from weather), and storage/training areas. Use materials that match the Viking aesthetic—wood, stone, and dark blocks work well. Leave clear pathways between zones so you can move freely and dragons have space to land.
Connect to Existing Paths
Build bridges or stairs linking your base to the island's main wooden path network. This integration makes your base feel like part of the world rather than isolated. Consider adding torches along your connecting paths for nighttime navigation.
Test your layout by walking through it multiple times. Ensure doorways are tall enough and platforms are wide enough for gameplay comfort.
