Customize Blood Colors for Specific Mobs
Locate the Blood Configuration Files
Blood color data is stored in JSON files within your mod's config or data folder. Navigate to the blood type definitions—these control what color splatter appears when each mob takes damage.
Edit or Create a Custom Blood Type
Open the relevant JSON file in a text editor. Each mob can be assigned a blood color by referencing its entity ID. The mod uses color values to determine the splatter appearance.
If you want a mob to have unique blood:
1. Find the mob's entity identifier (e.g., minecraft:zombie)
2. Assign it a custom blood type or color value
3. Save the file
4. Reload your world or restart the game
Test Your Changes
Spawn or encounter the mob you modified and deal damage to it. The blood particles should now display your chosen color. If the splatter doesn't appear or looks wrong, double-check your JSON syntax and color values for errors.
The mod supports any mob from vanilla Minecraft, The Aether, BetterEnd, BetterNether, and many third-party creature mods. Refer to each mod's entity ID documentation if you're unsure of the correct identifier.
