Room-by-Room Strategy

Divide the fortress into manageable sections. Clear one room completely before moving to the next—eliminate all mobs, loot all chests, and mark the area as secure. This prevents backtracking and ensures you don't miss resources.

Systematic Progression

Start from the main entrance and work outward or upward. Keep a mental note of which corridors lead where. Mark cleared rooms with torches or other distinctive blocks so you can quickly identify unexplored areas. This reduces confusion in the repetitive stone halls.

Securing Key Areas

Prioritize clearing rooms that connect multiple corridors first—these act as hubs. Once secured, they become safe rest points. Establish a base camp in a central location where you can store excess loot and recover between expeditions.

Victory Conditions

Complete clearance means eliminating all hostile mobs from accessible areas and looting all chests. Some sections may require backtracking with better equipment. Once the entire stronghold is clear and you've claimed the major loot, you've secured the bastion.
