Upgrade Your Iron Tools to Diamond

What You Need

Gather the following items:

• One iron tool (pickaxe, axe, shovel, sword, or hoe)
• One diamond
• Access to a smithing table

Upgrade Steps

1. Locate or craft a smithing table. If you don't have one, craft it using iron ingots and wooden planks according to standard Minecraft recipes.

2. Open the smithing table by right-clicking on it.

3. Place your iron tool in the left input slot of the smithing table interface.

4. Place the diamond in the right input slot.

5. Collect your diamond tool from the output slot on the right side of the interface.

Important Notes

The upgraded diamond tool will retain any enchantments from your original iron tool. This mod only works with the smithing table—you cannot use a crafting table for this upgrade. Each upgrade requires exactly one diamond, making this an efficient way to obtain diamond-tier tools early in your playthrough.
