Planning Your Upgrades

Before you start, gather all the iron tools you want to upgrade and count how many diamonds you'll need. Each tool requires one diamond, so plan your mining or trading accordingly.

Batch Upgrade Process

1. Collect all your iron tools in one location, along with your diamonds.

2. Set up near a smithing table to minimize travel time between upgrades.

3. Process tools one at a time: Open the smithing table, place an iron tool and diamond, collect the result, and repeat.

4. Organize your upgraded tools into a chest or inventory as you complete each upgrade.

Optimization Tips

If you have multiple smithing tables available, you can work faster by upgrading tools in parallel. Consider upgrading tools in order of priority—upgrade your most-used tools first in case you run out of diamonds. This mod makes it practical to upgrade a full set of iron tools (pickaxe, axe, shovel, sword, and hoe) with just five diamonds, which is significantly cheaper than finding or crafting diamond tools from scratch.
