How Enchantments Transfer

When you upgrade an iron tool to diamond using this mod, all enchantments on the original iron tool are automatically preserved on the resulting diamond tool. This means you don't lose any magical properties during the upgrade process.

Upgrading Enchanted Tools

1. Prepare your enchanted iron tool by ensuring it has the enchantments you want to keep.

2. Open the smithing table and place the enchanted iron tool in the left slot.

3. Add a diamond to the right slot.

4. Collect the upgraded diamond tool, which will now have the same enchantments at the same levels.

Strategic Considerations

This feature is particularly valuable for tools with rare or powerful enchantments like Mending, Efficiency V, or Unbreaking III. Rather than waiting to find a diamond tool with these enchantments, you can enchant an iron tool first, then upgrade it cheaply. This approach saves diamonds and gives you control over which enchantments your tools have before upgrading them to the diamond tier.
