How to Plan a Generator Progression Route from Stone to Unobtainium

Early Game: Stone and Iron

Start with a Stone Generator the moment you have a furnace and some stone. Feed it charcoal from a tree farm. As soon as you can spare the iron, craft a Stone to Iron Generator Upgrade and convert. Iron Generators are the workhorse of early automation.

Mid Game: Gold, Emerald, Diamond

Gold is your first real jump in output. From Gold you branch:

  • Emerald route: cheaper if you have villagers or a good emerald source.
  • Diamond route: more expensive but leads to Crystal and Obsidian, which are stronger late-game tiers.

Most players take the Diamond branch because it opens the path to Netherite and beyond.

Late Game: Obsidian, Netherite, Allthemodium, Vibranium, Unobtainium

Obsidian to Netherite requires a trip to the Nether. Netherite to Allthemodium, Allthemodium to Vibranium, and Vibranium to Unobtainium are the endgame steps and require materials from other mods (Allthemodium, Vibranium, Unobtainium ores). If you are not running those mods, stop at Netherite.

Practical Advice

  • Build one generator per tier as a backup before upgrading your main one.
  • Stockpile Upgrade Bases early; every upgrade needs one.
  • Route all generators into a shared energy storage so upgrades do not interrupt your machines.
