Position and Rotate Lights Using the 3D Editor

Open the Light Editor

Access the Light Editor interface while in-game. You'll see a floating screen with your placed lights and 3D handles for manipulation.

Use 3D Handles for Quick Adjustments

Each light displays colored arrows and rotation rings around it. Click and drag the arrows to move the light along the X, Y, or Z axis. Use the rotation rings to spin the light around different axes. This visual method is fast for rough positioning.

Switch to Numeric Input for Precision

For exact placement, open the light's properties panel and enter specific coordinates directly. Input exact rotation values in degrees if you need pixel-perfect alignment. This is essential when setting up symmetrical lighting or matching architectural details.

Free-Fly Camera Mode

While the editor is open, use free-fly camera controls to move around your build and view lights from different angles. This helps you see how shadows and beams interact with your structures. Position yourself at eye level with your build to check how lighting looks to players.
