This pack includes several electric locomotives: the PRR GE GG1, GE E60CP, AEM-7, Siemens Vectron, and Japanese EF65/EF66 models. Electric multiple units like the New Haven M8, E235 Series, and Tokyo Metro 6000 Series are also available.

Setting Up Overhead Infrastructure

Electric trains require overhead catenary wires to operate. Use Immersive Railroading's catenary poles and wire system to build overhead lines above your tracks. The visual presence of wires is important for immersion, though the mod handles power delivery automatically.

Operating Electric Trains

Spawn your electric locomotive or EMU on track beneath the catenary. Board and operate normally—electric trains respond instantly to throttle input and provide smooth acceleration. They're ideal for commuter and metro services.

Electric trains are more efficient than diesel for frequent stop-and-start routes. The Tokyo Metro 6000 and E235 Series work particularly well for urban transit scenarios with multiple stations.
