Building a Passenger Train Consist

Selecting Compatible Cars

This pack includes multiple passenger car types: Amfleet coaches, Bombardier Bi-Level cars, UIC-Z Eurofima coaches, and Japanese sleeper units. All cars are designed to couple with compatible locomotives on Immersive Railroading tracks.

Assembling Your Consist

Spawn your chosen locomotive first using the spawner. Then spawn individual passenger cars one at a time on the same track, positioned behind the locomotive. As you move the locomotive forward slowly, cars will automatically couple in sequence.

Customizing Your Route

Mix and match car types for variety—for example, combine Amfleet coaches with a cafe car and control car for a North American passenger service. Japanese sleeper units work well for long-distance routes. European consists pair well with the Siemens Vectron or electric locomotives.

Ensure your track is level or has gentle grades; heavily loaded passenger trains struggle on steep inclines. Test your consist at low speed before attempting long routes.
