How to Transfer All Stacks of the Same Item at Once

Shift + Control Click

When your chest is full of the same item split across many slots, moving them one stack at a time is tedious. Inventory Essentials gives you a single click that grabs every stack of that item type.

1. Open the container you want to move items into or out of.

2. Hold Shift and Control together.

3. Click any slot containing the item you want to move.

Every stack of that exact item in the source inventory is transferred to the destination inventory in one action. If the destination runs out of room, the remaining stacks stay where they were.

Practical Uses

This is the fastest way to:

  • Consolidate ore drops from a mining trip into one chest.
  • Empty a shulker box full of one material into your storage system.
  • Pull all your food stacks out of a chest before a trip.
  • Clear a specific item type out of your inventory after crafting.

Because it matches by item type, it will not touch other items in the same inventory. That makes it safe to use in mixed storage without accidentally moving things you wanted to keep. If you only want part of the stacks moved, use the single-item Control-click instead, or move stacks individually.
