Use Your Own Skin as a Companion

Load Your Skin

Instead of choosing a pre-made character, you can make a tiny, animated version of yourself your companion. Open the Inventory Companions configuration menu and select the custom skin option.

Enter Your Username

Type your exact Minecraft username into the custom skin field. The mod will automatically fetch your current skin from Minecraft's servers.

Verify and Enjoy

Close and reopen your inventory. Your miniature self should now appear on screen, animated and moving around just like any other companion. This works with any skin you've uploaded to your Minecraft account—if you change your skin later, the companion will update to match.

This is a great way to personalize your experience without relying on pre-made characters. Your tiny self will follow you through every menu interaction, from chest sorting to furnace management.
