Set Up Your First Companion

Access Companion Settings

Open your inventory screen and look for the Inventory Companions mod configuration option. This is typically accessible through the mod's menu or settings button within your inventory UI.

Choose Your Companion

You have two main options:

Pre-made Characters: Browse the list of built-in companions—these include popular characters and well-known YouTubers. Select any character that appeals to you; your choice will be saved automatically.

Custom Skin Companion: If you'd prefer a personalized companion, enter any player's Minecraft username in the designated field. The mod will fetch that player's skin and create a tiny animated version to follow you around your menus.

Confirm Your Selection

Once you've chosen your companion, close and reopen your inventory to see them in action. Your companion will now appear in the corner of your inventory screen and persist across all menu interactions—crafting tables, chests, furnaces, and more.

Your selection remains active until you change it, so you only need to configure this once per companion preference.
