Display an Item from Your Inventory in Chat

Using the Item Display Command

Show off items to other players by displaying them directly in chat. This works with any item currently in your inventory or hotbar.

Steps

1. Hold the item you want to display, or ensure it's in your inventory

2. Type the item display command (typically /ic item or similar, depending on server configuration)

3. The item will appear as an interactive element in chat that other players can click to view details

4. Players can hover over the displayed item to see its name, rarity, and enchantments

Tips

• You can display items with custom names or lore—these will show in chat
• Enchanted items display their enchantment levels
• Some servers may restrict which items can be displayed for balance reasons
• The displayed item is clickable, allowing other players to inspect it more closely

This feature is useful for trading, showing off rare finds, or discussing gear with teammates.
