Set Up Your Replay Buffer and Start Recording

Enable the Recording Buffer

Instant Replay Mod runs passively once installed—it automatically begins capturing network packets as soon as you load into a world or server. You don't need to manually start recording. The mod maintains a rolling buffer of your recent gameplay in the background.

Configure Your Buffer Settings

Access the mod's configuration through your Fabric mod menu or config folder. You can adjust the clip duration—this determines how many seconds or minutes of gameplay the buffer will retain at any given time. A shorter buffer uses less disk space but captures fewer moments; a longer buffer preserves more history but requires more storage.

Choose a duration that balances your available storage with how far back you want to reach when exporting. For example, a 5–10 minute buffer is practical for most players.

Verify It's Running

Once configured, the mod works silently. You'll notice no performance impact during normal play. The buffer continuously overwrites old data, so you're always capturing your most recent gameplay without manual intervention.
