What InsaneLib Does and Why You Need It

A Visual Foundation for RPG Combat

InsaneLib is a library mod, not a standalone gameplay mod. It does not add classes, quests, or items on its own. Instead, it provides the particle-effect groundwork that an RPG-style mod relies on to make special attacks look like special attacks.

Without InsaneLib installed, the flashy visuals tied to class abilities simply will not appear. A Wizard's spell, a Bard's performance, a Knight's power strike, or an Archer's charged shot would register only as extra damage numbers, with at most a faint placeholder indicator standing in for the real effect. The combat still functions, but it loses the spectacle that makes each class feel distinct.

Because of this, InsaneLib should be treated as a required companion for the RPG mod it supports. Install it alongside that mod before starting your adventure, and the intended particle effects will display correctly during play.
