Understanding When Injured Effects Trigger

Health Threshold Mechanics

The Injured Effects Data Pack activates its visual and audio feedback when your health drops below a certain point. This isn't a single threshold—effects layer progressively as you take more damage.

What to Expect at Low Health

As your health depletes:

1. Darkness effect gradually darkens your screen, reducing visibility and creating panic

2. Heartbeat sounds become audible and accelerate in tempo the closer you are to death

3. Blood particles spawn around your character, intensifying as health worsens

Testing the Effects

To experience all three effects in sequence:

  • Take damage from mobs or environmental hazards (fall damage, fire, suffocation)
  • Watch your health bar deplete
  • Notice the screen darkening first
  • Listen for the heartbeat audio cue
  • Look for blood particle effects around your character

Each effect compounds the sense of urgency. The combination creates immersion—you'll feel genuinely threatened when low on health, encouraging you to seek healing items or escape danger quickly.

Recovery

Effects disappear immediately once you heal above the threshold using food, potions, or healing items.
