Managing Audio Feedback During Gameplay

Heartbeat Sound Control

The heartbeat audio is a core feature of the data pack, but it can be distracting or overwhelming during intense moments. You have options to adjust how it affects your experience.

Adjusting Game Volume Settings

1. Open Options → Music & Sound

2. Locate the Master Volume slider to control all sounds globally

3. Adjust Ambient Volume or Hostile Creatures sliders if available—heartbeat effects may fall under these categories

4. Test by taking damage and observing volume levels

Disabling Specific Sounds

If the heartbeat becomes too intense:

  • Lower only the ambient or effect volume rather than master volume
  • This preserves other important audio cues (mob sounds, block breaks) while reducing heartbeat prominence

Gameplay Tips

The accelerating heartbeat is intentionally designed to create tension. Consider keeping it enabled during survival mode for immersion, but adjusting volume during exploration or building phases where constant low-health warnings aren't needed.

Remember: the heartbeat only triggers at low health, so maintaining higher health naturally silences it.
