Apply Infinity to a Crossbow
Getting an Infinity Enchantment
Before you can apply Infinity to a crossbow, you need the enchantment itself. You can obtain it through:
- Enchanting table: Use lapis lazuli and experience to enchant a crossbow directly at an enchanting table. Infinity may appear as a random option.
- Anvil + Enchanted Book: Combine a crossbow with an Infinity-enchanted book on an anvil. This is the most reliable method if you have the book.
- Loot: Find Infinity books in dungeon chests, end cities, or other loot structures.
Applying to Your Crossbow
Once you have an Infinity enchantment available:
1. Place your crossbow and the Infinity source (enchanted book or use the enchanting table) together
2. If using an anvil, combine them—the crossbow will now have Infinity applied
3. If using an enchanting table, select Infinity from the available enchantments
4. Your crossbow is now ready to fire infinite arrows
Important Notes
Infinity on crossbows works identically to bows—you still need at least one arrow in your inventory to start firing, but you'll never consume arrows after that first one.
