Recover Items After Dying Without Racing Against Despawn
The Problem It Solves
Normally, when you die in Minecraft, you have five minutes to retrieve your dropped items before they vanish. With this mod, that pressure disappears.
Recovering Your Items
1. Die and respawn as normal
2. Navigate back to your death location at your own pace — there's no time limit
3. Collect your items whenever you arrive
What to Remember
- Items still drop in the same location where you died
- They won't despawn, but they can still be destroyed by fire, lava, or explosions
- If your death was in a dangerous area (like near lava), consider waiting until you're better equipped before retrieving them
- Items on the ground are visible to other players on multiplayer servers, so they can still be stolen
Preventing Future Item Loss
While this mod removes despawn timers, you can further protect your items by:
- Storing valuable items in a secure chest at your base
- Avoiding risky situations where you might die
- Using backup storage systems for important tools and materials
