How to Farm Infernal Mobs for Enchanted Loot and XP

Why Farm Them

Infernal mobs drop significantly more experience than normal mobs and always drop at least one enchanted item, which can include mod-added gear. Higher rarity mobs (Ultra and Infernal) are worth far more than Rare ones, so a farm that reliably spawns them is one of the best loot sources in the mod.

Setting Up a Spawn Area

Infernal modifiers are applied to mobs when they spawn, so any standard mob farm works — you just need volume. Build a dark spawning platform or use a mob spawner in a lit-safe room, then funnel mobs toward a kill chamber. Do not use a design that instantly kills mobs on spawn; you need them to actually become infernal first. A drop-based farm that leaves mobs at low health for you to finish is ideal, because you get the loot and XP directly.

Filtering for Rarity

You cannot force a mob to be Infernal, but you can increase throughput. More spawns per minute means more chances at Ultra and Infernal rolls. Use a spawner-based farm rather than a natural-spawn farm for consistency, and keep the surrounding area lit so only your farm spawns mobs. When an Infernal mob appears in your kill chamber, do not let it fall into a hopper-based auto-killer that might not handle its modifiers — kill it manually so you collect the enchanted drop.

Handling the Fight

Keep a dedicated weapon with high single-hit damage for Bulwark and Regen mobs, and a bow for Vengeance mobs. Store milk and healing items in a nearby chest so you can reset debuffs between waves.
