Infected beasts are significantly more dangerous than their peaceful counterparts. They use unpredictable attack patterns rather than charging in straight lines, making them harder to predict and kite.

Pack hunters like Zolves and Zolphins are especially threatening—they actively hunt down villagers, so protect your settlements. Zears and Scarred Zears are the toughest variants, dealing heavy damage and requiring sustained effort to defeat.

When you defeat infected creatures, they drop Rotten Morsel food items. The mod also introduces special status effects like Infestation that can be applied through custom potions and arrows, adding another layer of challenge to encounters.

Expect to find these beasts spawning across the Overworld, with rare variants like Scarred Zears appearing in deep biomes. Stay alert and well-equipped before venturing into areas where infected wildlife roams.
