Set Up Efficient Rail Production for Large Projects

Planning Your Rail Output

Before starting a large transportation system, calculate how many rails you'll need. With this mod, your crafting yields are significantly higher, so fewer crafting sessions are required. Normal rails now give 32 per recipe, while powered, detector, and activator rails yield 16 each.

Gathering Materials and Crafting

1. Collect iron ore for normal rails. Smelt it into iron ingots.

2. Craft normal rails using the standard recipe (iron ingots and sticks). You'll receive 32 rails instead of 16.

3. For powered rails, gather redstone dust and gold ingots alongside iron ingots. Craft as normal and receive 16 instead of 6.

4. For detector rails, use iron ingots, stone pressure plates, and redstone dust. You'll get 16 per craft.

5. For activator rails, combine iron ingots, sticks, and redstone torches to produce 16 rails.

Storage and Organization

With doubled output, organize your rails into separate storage areas by type. Use labeled chests or barrels to keep normal, powered, detector, and activator rails separate. This makes it easier to grab the right rails during construction and prevents confusion when building complex rail systems.

The increased yields mean you can complete large projects with significantly fewer trips to your crafting area.
