Configure Custom Zombie Variants

Editing MythicMobs Configuration

To create custom zombie variants with the Improved Zombies Model, you'll need to modify your MythicMobs configuration files.

1. Navigate to your MythicMobs plugin folder

2. Open the Mobs configuration directory

3. Create or edit a .yml file for your custom zombie

4. Reference the ModelEngine model name provided in the pack (e.g., improved_zombie, improved_husk)

Applying Model References

Within your mob configuration, ensure you're pointing to the correct ModelEngine model identifier. The Improved Zombies Model pack includes specific model names for each variant—standard zombies, husks, and their baby versions.

Your config should reference these model names so MythicMobs knows which enhanced appearance to use.

Testing Your Configuration

After editing, restart your server or reload MythicMobs. Summon your custom variant using /mm summon <custom_name> and verify the correct model and animations appear. If the vanilla zombie model shows instead, double-check that your model reference matches the pack's provided identifier exactly.
