Improved Signs Basics

This mod makes signs and item frames less obstructive on a server. The main trick is passthrough: if a sign is placed over a chest, barrel, shulker box, or similar container, you can still open that container by right-clicking the sign. Item frames work the same way, but you need to sneak (shift) and right-click to interact with the frame normally instead of passing through it.

Item frames can also be made invisible. Use Amethyst Shards on a frame to hide it, and the mod can be configured to use Glass Panes for the same purpose instead.

Signs keep their contents. When you break a sign, its text, color, and glowing state are retained. Placing that sign in a crafting window resets it. You can also copy text: right-click a sign while holding a sign or a stack of signs, and the text transfers to the held signs. Tooltip text for these features is generated server-side, so no client-side mod is needed. Everything is configurable in the mod's config file.
