How to Assemble and Drive Your First Vehicle in Immersive Vehicles
Crafting the Parts
Immersive Vehicles (IV) splits a car into separate components rather than one finished item. You will need an engine, wheels, a seat, and a chassis/body for the vehicle you want. Most of these are made at the Vehicle Workbench (also called the crafting table for vehicles), which is where you combine the correct parts for a specific model. Check the in-game recipe book or JEI/REI for the exact layout of the vehicle you're building.
Placing and Driving
1. Place the assembled vehicle on flat ground by right-clicking with the item.
2. Right-click the vehicle to enter it. If it has multiple seats, the driver seat is usually the front-left.
3. Press your keybind for throttle (default is usually W) to accelerate, S to brake/reverse, and A/D to steer.
4. Use the handbrake key to hold position on slopes.
5. Press the exit key (often Shift or a dedicated key) to leave the vehicle.
Fuel and Startup
Many IV vehicles need fuel before they move. Craft a fuel can or use a fuel pump block, then right-click the vehicle with fuel to fill it. Turn the engine on with the ignition keybind before throttling. If the engine won't start, check fuel level and that the engine part is installed correctly.
