How to Put a Custom Image on a Painting in Immersive Paintings
Placing the Painting
Craft or obtain a Painting block, then place it against a wall like a normal painting. Right-click it to open the image selection screen. The mod reads image files from a folder inside your Minecraft instance (the mod's config or paintings directory, depending on your setup). Drop a PNG or JPG into that folder, then reopen the painting's interface — your file should appear in the list. Select it and confirm.
Sizing and Positioning
Immersive Paintings lets you resize the canvas so a single image can span multiple blocks. Use the resize controls in the GUI to set width and height, then adjust the pixel offset so the image lines up across the placed blocks. If you want a large mural, place several painting blocks adjacent to each other and assign each one the correct slice of the same image using the offset values.
Multiplayer Notes
On a server, images usually need to be present on the server side or synced through the mod's networking. If other players see a blank or placeholder painting, the image file is missing on their client or the server hasn't sent it. Keep file sizes reasonable — very large images can cause lag when many paintings are loaded at once.
