Understand Heavy Turning Mechanics

Unlike vanilla Minecraft, this mod makes horses turn slowly and deliberately. You cannot spin 180 degrees instantly. Plan your movements ahead, especially when navigating tight spaces or obstacles.

Practice Wide Turns

When you need to change direction significantly, start your turn early and make it gradual. Hold your turn input (A or D key) and let the horse naturally rotate over time. This is especially important when riding at high speeds.

Adjust Turning Speed in Config

If the turning feels too sluggish for your playstyle, open the mod settings and increase the turning responsiveness value. Conversely, if you want even more realistic, slower turns, decrease this setting.

Navigate Terrain Strategically

In mountainous or cluttered areas, slow down before making sharp turns. The realistic turning means you'll need to approach navigation differently than in vanilla—think like you're actually riding a heavy animal rather than controlling a video game character.
