Understand how Convergence handles power and fluid networks

Shared network architecture

Immersive Convergence Mod ensures that power grids and fluid networks created by different addons operate on the same underlying system. This means a machine from one addon can receive power or fluids from infrastructure built by another addon without special configuration.

How it works in practice

When you place machines and cables from multiple addons:

1. Each addon's machines and pipes connect to the shared network layer that Convergence provides

2. Power flows between addons' machines as if they were all from the same mod

3. Fluids transfer through pipes from different addons without requiring converters or adapters

4. Energy values and fluid volumes are normalized so different addons' systems understand each other

Building with multiple addons

You can freely mix cables, pipes, and machines from different addons in the same factory. There are no special blocks or recipes needed — Convergence handles translation automatically. This lets you design more flexible production chains by choosing the best machine for each task, regardless of which addon it comes from.
