How to Build and Fly a Biplane
Crafting and Placing the Biplane
Craft a Biplane item and place it to spawn the aircraft. Board it by right-clicking. Biplanes are fixed-wing craft, meaning they need forward speed to generate lift — you cannot hover like an airship. This makes them fast and agile but unforgiving if you stall.
Takeoff and Flight
1. Start your engine and let the propeller spin up.
2. Taxi forward on flat ground to build speed.
3. Pull up gently once you have enough speed to lift off.
4. Keep throttle high in climbs and ease off in dives.
5. To land, approach low and slow, then cut throttle just before touchdown.
Handling and Upgrades
Biplanes turn sharply, so small control inputs go a long way. Add an Enhanced Propeller for more thrust, and a Gyroscope or Electronic Gyroscope to stabilize the craft in turns. Improved Landing Gear helps on rough terrain. If you plan to fight, mount a Heavy Crossbow or Rotary Cannon, but remember that added weight reduces climb rate. Biplanes are the best choice for scouting and dogfighting, not cargo.
