Optimize Performance and Increase FPS
Adjusting Video Settings
The modpack is designed with performance optimization in mind, but you can further improve FPS through the standard Minecraft video settings:
1. Open Options → Video Settings
2. Lower Render Distance if experiencing lag (start at 12 chunks)
3. Disable or reduce Particles and Entity Shadows
4. Set Graphics to Fast if using Fancy causes stuttering
5. Adjust Brightness and Contrast as needed
Shader-Specific Optimization
If using a shader, access shader settings through the Shaders menu. Many included shaders offer performance toggles:
- Disable advanced lighting effects
- Reduce shadow quality
- Lower water and reflection detail
System-Level Tips
- Allocate adequate RAM to Minecraft (typically 4-8GB)
- Close background applications
- Ensure your graphics drivers are current
- The modpack avoids requiring Optifine, so performance should be stable across compatible systems
Test FPS changes by standing in an open area and observing the counter. Aim for consistent frame rates above your monitor's refresh rate.
