How to Configure IMBlocker Mod to Work with Your Input Method

Understanding the Configuration Options

IMBlocker works out of the box for most players, but you may need to tweak it depending on your operating system and input method editor (IME). Open the mod's config screen from the Mods list or via the in-game config menu. The main options control which screens trigger input method activation and which input methods the mod should recognize.

Adjusting Settings for Your Setup

If your IME isn't being toggled automatically, check the following:

  • Screen whitelist/blacklist: Make sure chat, sign editing, book writing, and anvil renaming are included in the screens where the IME should activate. If a screen is missing, add it manually.
  • IME detection mode: Some configs let you choose between auto-detection and manual selection of your IME. If auto-detection fails, switch to manual and pick your input method from the list.
  • Toggle behavior: Decide whether the mod should fully disable the IME during gameplay or just switch it to English/direct input. Full disable is cleaner for most players.

After changing settings, save and restart the game if the mod requests it. Test by opening chat, typing in your language, then closing chat and pressing movement keys — the IME should deactivate automatically.
