Disabling or Temporarily Turning Off IMBlocker When It Interferes

When You Might Want It Off

IMBlocker is designed to stay out of your way, but there are cases where you want it disabled: recording gameplay where IME popups are distracting, using a mod that conflicts with it, or troubleshooting input issues.

Ways to Disable It

• Per-session toggle: Some versions include a keybind or config option to temporarily suspend IME management. Check the Controls menu for an IMBlocker keybind and assign one if available.
• Disable in the Mods list: Go to the Mods screen, find IMBlocker, and toggle it off. This takes effect after a game restart.
• Remove from the mods folder: If you want it gone entirely, close the game and remove the mod file. Note that this also removes its config.
• Config-level disable: Open the config and set the mod's enabled option to false. This keeps the mod loaded but inactive, so you can re-enable it without restarting.

If you disable IMBlocker, remember to manually toggle your IME when switching between chat and gameplay, since nothing will do it for you.
