Finding and Raiding Ocean Pirate Bases

Locating Ocean Structures

Ocean pirate bases spawn naturally across ocean biomes in your world. Travel to deep ocean or frozen ocean biomes and scan the horizon for large sailing ships, floating wooden platforms, or tall stone citadels rising from the water. Structures generate at varying distances from shore, so bring a boat and explore methodically.

Preparing for Raid

Bring combat gear including a strong sword, bow with arrows, and armor with decent protection. Pirate bases are heavily defended by armed illagers and may include ranged enemies on ship decks. Pack healing potions and consider bringing blocks for building cover during combat.

Watch for underwater submarines—these structures extend below sea level. Bring water breathing potions or a helmet with Respiration enchantment if you plan to explore submerged sections fully.

Looting Strategy

Clear enemies deck by deck on sailing ships, working from top to bottom. Ocean citadels have multiple levels; clear each floor before descending. Underwater submarines contain valuable loot but are cramped—clear enemies carefully to avoid drowning. Collect all chests and crafting stations for rare materials and equipment.
