How to Get Started with Illager Invasion: Platinum, Dusts, and the Imbuing Table

Finding Your First Materials

Illager Invasion content is gated behind illager combat, so your first step is provoking raids or hunting illager patrols. Illagers added by the mod (Alchemists, Bashers, Firecallers, Provokers, Sorcerers, Marauders, Inquisitors, Necromancers, Archivists, and the Illusioner) drop the mod's core materials. Watch for Platinum Chunks, Unusual Dust, Illusionary Dust, and Primal Essence. Platinum Chunks can be crafted into Platinum Sheets, which are the base for platinum gear like the Platinum Infused Hatchet.

Setting Up the Imbuing Table

Craft the Imbuing Table once you have platinum and dusts banked. This block is the mod's central crafting station for magical items. Place it in a safe, lit room — you will be standing still while using it, so a raid breaking through your walls mid-craft is a real risk.

Early Priorities

• Bank Unusual Dust and Illusionary Dust separately; they feed different recipes.
• Keep Primal Essence for higher-tier imbuing.
• Save Hallowed Gems and Horns of Sight — they are utility items, not junk.
• Do not melt down every Platinum Chunk into sheets; some recipes want the raw chunk.

Once the Imbuing Table is placed, you can begin converting dusts and essences into the mod's magical gear, which is what makes later illager fights survivable.
