How to Craft and Use Platinum Gear in Illager Invasion

Getting Platinum

Platinum is Illager Invasion's signature metal. It drops as Platinum Chunks from modded illagers — Alchemists, Bashers, Firecallers, Inquisitors, Marauders, Provokers, Sorcerers, Necromancers, and the Illusioner. Chunks are the raw form; you will need to process them before making gear.

From Chunk to Gear

1. Collect Platinum Chunks from illager kills and raid farms.

2. Craft chunks into Platinum Sheets at a crafting station.

3. Use sheets to craft platinum equipment, including the Platinum Infused Hatchet.

4. Some recipes also consume Primal Essence or dusts at the Imbuing Table for upgraded versions.

Using the Platinum Infused Hatchet

The Hatchet is a hybrid tool and weapon. It functions as an axe for wood but also deals meaningful combat damage, making it a strong choice against illagers. It pairs well with the mod's magic items — imbue it at the Imbuing Table if a recipe is available for it.

Practical Tips

• Do not dump all your chunks into sheets at once; keep a reserve for imbuing recipes.
• Platinum gear is best used against illagers specifically, where its damage profile shines.
• Combine platinum weapons with Horn of Sight tracking and Magical Fire Charges for a complete anti-illager loadout.
• Store platinum separately from dusts so you can see at a glance what you have for crafting.
